Hello my Friends and Welcome to Animal Balance Journal!
It’s so good to be here sharing the guidance that comes through the animals. I’m glad you’re with me on this journey! The road take has taken some fun and interesting turns and I’ll play a bit more in this issue. Look for some changes and new opportunities in the near future as well.
There is so much change in the world at this time. The theme of change and transformation is the essence of Butterfly Medicine. Butterfly has appeared this month in the place of the Child Heart within. Butterfly is here in perfect timing and amazing synchronicity!
Representing the Mother Earth is Frog and Turtle speaks for Father Sky this month. I have been working closely with these energies since the new moon on Thanksgiving. I’ll also include other animals who have called out to me during my journaling.
But first I’d like to thank you all for who you are and for the support of your Being which you express in so many beautiful ways both seen and unseen. I am preparing to open new ways for us to interact online and bring forward new offerings.
One way you can help is to share the messages with a friend when you feel it. I will also be enhancing the donation page to allow voluntary monthly subscriptions for those who choose to give money on a regular basis.
Above all keep up the thoughts, prayers and rituals of Peace, Love, Unity and Abundance which I receive daily in deep gratitude and humility. I offer these also from my heart to All.
Many have offered great comments which I will include on my site and some have asked equally useful questions. I’m thinking a blog format will be a great way to answer some of those questions or to discuss ways I am learning to “live” those questions.
Also, I’ve just started the book project. Shhhhhhh, don’t tell anyone it’s a secret just between you and me. More details later.

I choose and gratefully accept that I am all right just as I am, a Child of God. I see all good things come to me including health, peace, prosperity and wisdom, easily with effortless grace.
I know and acknowledge with all the love and gratitude of my heart and Soul that I serve Spirit Alone. Finding Thee first I find everything else in Thee! I am Whole. Nothing can be lost. That is Illusion, Maya. I relax and cast aside all mental burdens allowing Your Loving Grace to flow through me. Perfect Peace and Wisdom is my essence. Silence is my foundation. Simplicity is my nature. I allow my busy mind to slow down. I lay all my thoughts at Thy feet. I see all things as Gifts from Thee. I feel You in all feelings.

A single Ant has been my companion this month. Ant, when I see you I breathe a little easier my Friend just to know you are with me in the Place of Pure waiting.
The Universe knows my intent: the deep healing of my life in service, abundance and joy; Connection to Who I Am. Tear away the veil of ignorance! May the Path be Clear and Smooth.

NOTE: I am including a few journal entries from before the new moon on the 27th when I chose the Balance Animals. This entry and small poem came the morning Before I was laid off from my corporate job unexpectedly. It still amazes me what comes through in these writing sessions that prepares me to remain steady on this Good Red Road…
I choose and gratefully accept that I am ready to move forward with inner smiles, courage and a loving open heart.
I cast aside all mental burdens allowing the peace, love and wisdom in me to express itself Whole Heartedly. I embrace all tears and fears with open loving arms. I hold the frightened child, tickle him into laughter, fun and joy, then rock him on my lap of eternal reassurance. In the heightened expanded light of love power I drop bombs of bliss and silence on all the noise and worries of this World Dream. In my humble surrender to All That Is I see within all beings a friend and within each friend, the Friend of Friends.
In the river the fast river of who I am I see your face laugh cry wonder
Another funny side note is that a raccoon had been ravaging my little backyard pond and stream for two nights indicating that my mask might be ready to change.

The Butterfly Blog is a great vision, a place to share affirmations and Masterminds. Thank You Ma. It is a good time to let things rest and realize that some of the wonderful opportunities I feel are to be held in the silence for a while in gestation.
In the stages of Butterfly a caterpillar comes out of the egg, then surrounds itself with a cocoon again later. So it is with the seed ideas that come out eager and hungry for attention. Often they must be allowed to enter the dark safety of the cocoon before they emerge ready for flight.

Raccoon, you came in the dark digging at the source of my stream in the backyard, lowering the pond, my symbol of new flow and abundance. I looked you in the eyes after you ran up the pine tree and you were so innocent, like you were just doing your job. You rascal! You are the masked bandit, raider in the night.
The energy of change has altered the source of my income stream. Show me how to change masks easily and for my highest good. I see a vision of myself, a successful Writer and business person. I feel the flow of healing love and bounding growth in my life.

Frog Mother, purify my heart and mind in the loving love. Sing within the song that summons the thunder beings. Break Thy Silence and come to me! Let the growing clouds of darkness provide a steady rain of Mercy, Love and Forgiveness.
Give me strength to keep on keeping on no matter what may come. Help me remember the story of two frogs in trouble. And although I feel at times like I am paddling helplessly in a bucket of milk, I will keep paddling ceaselessly until the milk is churned to butter and I will hop out to safety, Thank You Mother Frog.

Turtle for Sky Father is interesting since it is such an Earth totem. The idea of keeping your ideas buried in the egg stage and learning to pace yourself if very grounded medicine. Thank You Turtle. Help me Remember that slow and steady wins success.
To some the turtle embodies Heaven and Earth, joining the two as One. The First People of what is now America called it Turtle Island. Some believed that the world is carried on the back of a Turtle. I heard that once an anthropologist pressed a Native American woman by asking, “What does the Turtle stand on?”
She replied, “It’s Turtles All the Way Down.” The funny thing is, at first that seemed nonsensical, but after a while it began to make complete sense. Yes, I think she was right, It’s Turtles All the Way Down!
I am supported by the Infinite. Turtle Spirit, why have you come to me in the position to balance Father Sky?

I am Turtle, your totem of the North, the place of the Ancients. I am very long lived and have seen many changes. As Sky Father I am here to help ground and balance your decisions and activity during this transition. I am also a helper in ending and new beginnings, death and rebirth.
Yours is the path of the Rainbow Warrior, the ones who have come to help balance the shadows and light with deep Respect for All Life. Find the Beauty in the blending of color and darkness.

Turtle what guidance do you bring? I am Turtle, often associated with Earth Mother and Turtle Island, yet I come to you in the Balanced aspect of the Heavenly Father who watches over you and protects you at all times through all changes.
My upper shell is open to the sky while my lower shell moves steadily along the Earth. I carry my Home with me dwelling in the place between, the space where Heaven and Earth meet. I withdraw into my shell from time to time and dwell in the Silence.
This is the gift I offer you now from my Heart. Develop the gift of Silence which protects you from the marauders of doubt, fear, anger and worry. Remember that all of these feelings you experience will pass. They are temporary and therefore unreal.
Use them only as reminders to focus on what is Real, what is Changeless: What Is. Go inside the darkness and focus on What Is. What is in your Heart is life a seed of Bliss that must be tended with compassion, understanding, and above All, Patience.
Patiently develop the seeds of calmness and self-control and you will find gradually that you are supported in a vast sea of changeless multi-hued luminescent radiance.

Butterfly is here as the Divine Child, now in this crucial time, the seed of life is germinated at this time: Wuwuchim, the Dawn of Creation, the first phase of the Hopi ceremonial cycle. I know in my heart that this is the early dawn of the Butterfly Phase, the beginning of the beginning.
The End is really the Beginning. Therefore the real End is the stage right before the End/Beginning and the Beginning is only a continuation of what came before.
The programming career was already over, my cocoon. And though its loss was painful, the caterpillar is already dead, the Butterfly is awake in the chrysalis ready to come out into the light. Butterfly, do you wish to Speak at this time?

Yes. I am Butterfly, the aspect of Great Spirit who aids You and All in the Great Alchemy. You planted the seed of Love and Devotion and watered it with patience, calmness and compassion, then warmed it with loving-kindness, forgiveness and wisdom.
Now it germinates into a Life Force of Unlimited Potential. This potential must be fertilized with the healing of the past so that it may take root in the present. Now you will retrieve those Soul parts that you left behind in moments of trauma or separation, abandonment or loss.
You know in the Wisdom of you One Heart that no loss is permanent. All gifts of You Soul are stowed for you at Home. Rise, grasp my hand and come little Child of my Heart.
I am Butterfly. Think of me as you start out on this next phase of transformation and when you feel Butterflies in your stomach. When your heart flutters with trepidation or excitement know that it is my wings taking to the air.
When I first emerge from the cocoon I find a still place and dry my wings in the light. So it is with you at this time. Find your quiet place and feel the Golden light of the Sun warming you, clearing all wounds of the past. Rewrite your story.
The old world is already dead. Let the dead bury the dead and awaken now to your True Nature as an Immortal Soul. As you rewrite your story you will cancel your contract with the Past.
And you will discover a sacred tablet, a contract created by You at the beginning of Time. As you rewrite your history you create the bright future of Your Dreams and move Beyond your Dreams.
As the old world crashes, know that it is already Dead. But in the natural order our Mother is giving birth to the New World of Truth and Beauty. “And I will give you the morning star.”

Frog Mother, In times of dryness when I have become covered with the dust of the road, lead me to the Springs of cleansing Silence. Will You speak?

I am Frog, here to guide you in your time of Purification. When your world is dry, lacking in joy and abundance, I sing you a song to call in the Rains of Mercy. Listen and learn this song well. Then my medicine is yours to share with All People.
When mind is scattered and smudged with anger, fear and worry that are in the Wind, sing the song of Frog Mother, then sit and breathe the Whale Breath that reconnects you to the Water of Life.
Like Butterfly, my life begins in the egg phase. This is true of All Creation. My egg emerges into the Water and lives there as tadpole until its legs are formed.
When the village was dry and parched and the People feared for their lives they went to the old shaman. He fasted for four days and four nights.
He who knows the Water of Life may give up food and water and depend solely on that One Source. After that the medicine man or woman is an empty clear channel for the highest good.
So then the shaman went to sit on the edge of the cliff to pray rain. There is no need to pray For rain. The old man was One with Rain. Soon the thick dark clouds filled the sky. With booming thunder the Waters were released from the Celestial Source.
So it is with that which you seek in your life. Go inward and feel At- One-ment. Be the Source of that which you seek. Seek Ye first the kingdom of ever-new Joy and All these things are added unto You.
My Dear One, I am here for you Always and in All Ways calling the Rains of Mercy and Forgiveness that bring new Life to Earth. Or as I like to call it: Frog-giveness :O)
